Senior X
The senior English class during the 2013-2014 school year was created as a project-based class in which the class of 2014 could explore their interests in incredible depth. The year started off with a series of discussions about what our interests were and what we were concerned about. These discussions developed into an event called DRIVE, where the senior class conducted interviews with people who were incredibly passionate about their lives and work.
The DRIVE event was immensely popular, encompassing projects like digital stories, photo essays and live interviews.
After DRIVE, the senior class developed individual projects that would be completed at the end of the year. I chose to create, write and produce my own radio drama episodes.
Readings from this year include The Adventures of Johnny Bunko by Dan Pink, DRIVE by Dan Pink and Creating Innovators by Tony Wagner.
