Media Communications Independent Study
Through this independent study, I conducted interviews and wrote articles for our town's newspaper. Linked below are the articles I wrote for the town paper, as well as several letters to the editor that I wrote during a movement to shut down Cabot High School.
October 2012 - An Adventurous Start to the Year
A short article about Healthy Start—the annual 3-day camping trip that the high school goes on at the beginning of the year to meet new people and work on building a successful community.
November 2012 - And It's an Invitation
An article about The Magical Mystery Tour, a presentation of learning by students in the Cabot Arts department centering around the cultural phenomenon of The Beatles.
January 2013 - Going to Ghana
An interview of Joe Ambroz, who spent six months of his junior year of high school abroad in Ghana.
January 2013 - Letter to the Editor
The first of two letters I wrote in defense of Cabot High School, during the movement to close it down. This was published in the Cabot Chronicle.
February 2013 - Front Porch Forum Post
The second of the letters I wrote in defense of Cabot High School. This was posted on Front Porch Forum, where much of the discourse around the high school was taking place.
