Digital Story - Julie Woods
For the following digital story, I interviewed Julie Woods, a self-described “street wolf with a Harvard degree.” She grew up in Los Angeles and worked as a technical writer for most of her life. Now she’s working as The Urban Bliss Shaman, connecting with leaders from all over the world. She also founded the Fans with Cans movement: a hunger prevention network that has fed over 100,000 families in 4 states. During her interview, she focused on her passions as an educator and the influence that art has in her life. It was an extremely interesting discussion, and she touched on a lot of the questions that have guided our work this year. She spoke at length about how she’s using her passions to help the world be a better place, as well as what drives her to continue her work.
